While in Newfoundland, make BlueWater Lodge
& Retreat your getaway to
an island experience. Stay awhile and explore the Central Region!
With the lodge as your base, opportunities for excursions range from a couple of hours to
multiple day adventures. From BlueWater you can experience land and
sea vacations at your own pace.
Visit
the historic town of Twillingate. Arrange a scenic boat trip to see
close up the
whales and majestic icebergs that come to rest in the waters of Notre Dame
Bay.

Survey the islands, runs, inlets and tickles of our coastal
waters. Seabirds, rugged coastline and isolated fishing communities
present a photographer's paradise.
In one of the lodge's
canoes, explore the many coves and islands of
the lake. We'll pack you a picnic lunch, and
don't forget your swimsuit to help enjoy the day. Maybe moose will be
crossing the marsh or waterfowl will be gliding over the lake.
Take
an excursion into the remote wilderness in search of caribou, moose and
bear. An afternoon and evening experience can be arranged with a local
biologist guide.
Imagine
--- Autumn when the pace is less hectic and there is time to linger and
indulge all the senses. Sunny days with cool evenings accompanied by the
changing colors forecast the migration into fall.
Strap
on a pair of snowshoes or cross country skis and listen to the distinct
sounds of winter as you roam around the edges of the lake and bogs or amongst
the evergreens. Seek out the multitude of circuit routes on snowmobile to
enjoy the many facets of winter and take in the panoramic viewscapes.
